If you set up your Google Pay balance to make contactless payments, there are some transaction limits:
- Maximum single transaction amount: $2,000 USD.
- Daily maximum total transaction amount: $2,500 USD.
- Up to 15 transactions per day.
- Additional limits on the dollar amount or frequency of transactions may be imposed in accordance with the Google Pay Terms of Service.
However, your MuchBetter card limits may be lower than what is allowed by Google Pay per transaction but you can always check your MuchBetter card limits on your MuchBetter app. Additionally, Google Pay will limit the amount in a contactless payment made while your mobile device is locked.

Contactless payments with locked devices are accepted at merchant terminals. If you can’t pay with your locked device, try again with your device unlocked. For amounts above your country’s contactless limit, you can still use Google Pay. Simply unlock your phone and tap on the terminal. These high-value transactions are also accepted at merchant terminals.
